ZEYNEP SAYIN

Sunday, September 17, 14.30 KRAFT

Adapted from Italian writer Alberto Moravia’s novel, starring Brigitte Bardot, Michel Piccoli, American actor Jack Palance and German director Fritz Lang, Contempt is one of the most important films from the pioneering director Jean-Luc Godard, who passed away last year. Godard deals with the themes of falling in and out of love and how it relates to money and art. But perhaps the film’s most intriguing character is the obstinate Camille Javal, played by Brigitte Bardot. Presented by literary scholar, art theorist and lecturer Zeynep Sayın.
