Mısra and Defne are two synchronised swimmers who met as children through swimming and have been competing together for years. Besides the duo's impeccable harmony in the pool, a close friendship has formed between them, thanks to years of training together and travelling abroad for competitions. However, they face many problems while preparing for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. The groundless dismissal of their coach and the restrictions due to the pandemic make them question their companionship. As they reach adulthood, both young women make a critical decision that will affect the rest of their lives.
Co-directed by İdil Akkuş and Ekin İlkbağ, this award-winning documentary is about a struggle rather than a typical 'success story' we know from sports movies. Mısra and Defne are two young women trying to establish and discover themselves, not just in sports but also in life. Through their athletic partnership in the duet category, they also discover solidarity and the power of the feminist movement.
