Nihat, who works as a cleaner in a hospital cafeteria, leads a routine life. However, his world is turned upside down when Ayşe, a new dishwasher, enters his life. Nihat accepts Ayşe’s invitation to dinner, but a photo he sees at her house changes everything. The man in the photo, whom Ayşe introduces as her husband in prison, looks almost identical to Nihat. This striking resemblance will lead Nihat’s ordinary life into a completely different direction, causing him to become someone else, ‘the other.’ I Am Not Him, a successful example of dark comedy that centers on the theme of identity swapping, won the Best Screenplay award at the Rome Film Festival and the Best Film award at the Istanbul Film Festival.
